Top 10 Tips for Your Visit to Splash

9th July 2024

Planning a visit to Splash Waterpark? To make the most of your day and ensure a smooth, fun-filled experience, we’ve compiled the top 10 tips for your trip. From practical advice to enhancing your enjoyment, these tips will help you prepare for an unforgettable day at Splash!

1. Arrive 30 Minutes Early

To make the most of your day, plan to arrive at Splash Waterpark at least 30 minutes before your booked time. This will give you ample opportunity to park, find your way to the entrance, get checked in and get changed without being rushed. Don’t worry parents – we have a coffee hut, The Sipway, to keep you occupied if you aren’t going onto the park!

2. Bring Flip Flops or Sliders

Walking from the changing cubicles to the water can be tricky, especially on hot or wet surfaces. Bring a pair of flip flops or sliders to protect your feet and make the journey more comfortable. It’s a small addition to your bag that can make a big difference in your comfort throughout the day.

3. Book in Advance

To avoid disappointment and secure your spot, always book your tickets in advance. Splash Waterpark can get busy, especially on weekends, holidays and the three days of sun we get each year! Booking online will guarantee your slot.

4. Remember Swimwear

When you book at Splash, wetsuit hire is included within the price – don’t forget to bring your swimwear to wear underneath. It’s easy to overlook this detail, but swimwear under your wetsuit ensures a more comfortable experience and makes changing in and out of your wetsuit much easier.

5. Stay Hydrated

With all the excitement and activity, it’s easy to forget to drink enough water. Make sure to stay hydrated throughout your visit. Bring a reusable water bottle and take regular breaks to drink water. Staying hydrated is key to maintaining your energy and enjoying your day to the fullest.

6. Plan Your Route to Splash in Advance

Before you set off, take some time to plan your route to Splash Waterpark. Check for any traffic updates, roadworks, or just to make sure you know where you’re going – we are off the beaten track! Knowing your route and travel time in advance helps reduce stress and ensures you arrive on time. The easiest way to find us is by using Google Maps – https://maps.app.goo.gl/eKEzTq6uWYz6Gwqi6.

7. Familiarise Yourself with the Safety Rules

Safety is a top priority at Splash Waterpark, proven by the fact that we were the first aquapark in the country to receive a Gold RLSS Award. Take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the park’s safety rules and guidelines. Knowing what’s expected can help prevent accidents and ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone.

8. Capture the Memories

Why not bring a waterproof camera or a phone with a waterproof case to capture all the fun moments? Whether you’re on the aquapark, a paddleboard or a kayak, capturing memories will help you remember and share your amazing day at Splash.

9. Remove All Jewellery

To prevent loss or damage, it’s best to remove all jewellery before hitting the water. Not only can jewellery get lost or damaged, but it can also pose safety risks on the park. Leave valuable items at home or off the water.

10. Enjoy the View from the Balcony

Take a break and come up to our balcony to enjoy the stunning view of the entire waterpark. It’s a perfect spot to relax, snap some photos, and take in the vibrant atmosphere from above. The balcony offers a great vantage point to plan your next adventure or simply soak in the scenery. If you’ve made it up to the balcony, why not call in at Top Deck Eatery and get fed?

By following these tips, you’re sure to have an incredible time at Splash Waterpark. Prepare well, stay safe, and most importantly, have fun! We can’t wait to see you at Splash for an unforgettable family day out.
